Baseball Card Lots News

How much are 1970-1980 baseball card lot worth?

they are in good condition and i never use them and want to sell them so can anyone help? 1970-1980 baseball card lot

There is an easy way to find they'er worth just look in your local phone book under sports collectibles for baseball card shops. Once you do this call the number and see if they carry beckett price guide, which they should because beckett is one of the oldest and most reputible price guide companies around. If they have it go and buy the baseball beckett not the multi sport one. They uasually run for about 5 to 10 bucks but are well worth it. I can also help from a little of my own experience. The 70's cards are more valuable than the ones in the 80's because the cards in the 80's were massively overproduced but they still carry value especially if they are rookies of star players like Cal Ripken Jr. or Roger Clemens.

Please give me tips on the value of the baseball card market?

I have lots of baseball cards from the late 1980s and early 1990s, which is about the time when that market crashed. Are there any forecasters out there who are predicting that the baseball card market will see an upsurge? Is it worthwhile to sell my cards now and just put whatever money I get into a CD at 5%, or should I hold onto them (is it likely that their value will increase by more than 5% per year over the next X number of years)? I know it's hard to predict, but there are experts who predict the growth of the stock market, oil prices, etc., is there anyone out there studying the sports memorabilia market?

There are very few cards from the 90's that are worth anything at all, except the game used crap crads which always go down in price cause the market has become saturated with them. There are some nice cards from the 80's like Rickey Henderson's rookie, Cal Ripken's rookie, Boggs, Gwynn, and so on. Get them in mint cond on ebay and get them graded by Becket grading service or PSA. Pretty much the only good investments now are graded cards in mint or gem mint condition. Look on ebay there are quite a few available.

I have lots of Baseball/basketball cards and was wanting to know how much they are worth.?

Does any one know of a place around cincinnati, oh. That I could take all of them too to get appraised? I have Mark Mcguire's rookie card and lots of others.

Beckett.com offers a free program where it will price any type of cards for you. You could also check the yellow pages for a comic book/collectables store - often times they offer apprasial services.

It could be a far shot, but sometimes talking to other fans at baseball/basketball games can lead to finding out how much things are worth, I've been known to chat up people just to discover they're in the buisness of apprasial.

I hope this helps.

What is the best method for selling my baseball card collection?

I collected baseball cards in the late 1980's. I have rookie cards and series for 1987, 1988, 1989 (Fleer sets,Topps Donruss sets, 1989 Original sealed Upper Deck set -rookie cards - Ken Griffey Jr. Barry Bonds Mark McGuire - and much more. How should I sell it? One lot at a card show? Ebay? Local City? I need to unload this large commodity, but I want to maximize my earnings. How would you sell it?

How do baseball card pricing magazines work?

I collect baseball cards and i have a good lot but I want to know what they r worth. But how? What magazines are out there that are good for pricing for baseball cards. But how do i look in the mag for the cards i have? I just dont get it, i havnt looked at a card pricing mag be4 so. Like i dont get how it would have the EXACT and every single cards i own and the price. Any explanations baseball card collecters? thanks

hey i collect sports card too. try beckett, or tuff stuff.
-look at the back of your car.
-at the bottom look for the year and the general manufacturer (topps, bowman, upper deck)
- narrow it down by looking at the card type (like bowman gold edition) this should be somewhere around the front.
-look at the top corner on the back and there will be a number, this will lead you to your exact player
