I LOOOOOOOOOOVE basketball i love to play it everyday. doesn't matter what time or what the weather is like i will play basketball. I live in GA and im 4'9 in the 7th grade. i am a pretty good basketball player too. Most people just under estimate me because im small. I play in a rec league and i want to try out for my middle school team and jr high school team. I hit a GAME WINNING 3 pointer in my rec league and whenever i play basketball in my gym class people start to notice how good i am. I drain a lot of my shots and steal the ball too. Dwyane wade is my favorite player but GIBERT ARENAS inspires me with the stories he has of him when he played basketball. MY DREAM IS TOO PLAY IN THE NBA i know its every kids dreaM but im ready to work my butt off everyday and everynight..You think there is any chance of me going to the NBA or is it way too early to tell?
hey dude there is a chance of u goin. that is my dream too. just keep practiceing man. i am in 7th grade, i am 5'9 thats pretty tall i can almost dunk man i kno i can touch the rim and i dunked a lot of times over my friends but barley make it there. so just keep ur dreams up man. my friend is the same height as u man he will smoke anybody eve me sometimes but i got the blocks. i have made plenty of blocks in middle school. i even tried out 4 the team and made it man. i helped the team win the school district. so like i said keepur dreams up just like me and i kno we will meet someday and play each other. cya man good luck too dawg
How come some college players succeed in the NBA while others fail?
I don't understand why players like J.J. Reddick and Adam Morrison weren't as successful in the NBA as other rookie, like Deron Williams. Is it because they simply failed to adjust to the game or is it because of the teams they're on?
I mean, I already have a feeling Tyler Hansborough won't make the transition from college to NBA while players like O.J. Mayo, Michael Beasley and Derrick Rose will very likely succeed.
This appears to have happen in the past too, as many of the college record holders are complete unknowns in the NBA.
Not everyone can maintain the level of competition or handle the pressures of being in the NBA. Granted, every player drafted (Even Kwame Brown LOL) was a great high school/college star, but there's always someone better.

What is the deal with NBA players going to Europe? How do the Euro teams find so much money?
If they're dishing out about 8 mil per year to questionable NBA starters like josh childress (euro teams pay the player's taxes), is Europe really that basketball crazy in terms of fans, or are the owners just super rich like the European football leagues? I don't see how they can afford to pay that much.
Here's the thing about euro teams. Most leagues only allow a certain amount of American players. The top Russian league only allows 2 per team. Many of the euro born players make something like 500 k per year unless they are really good. There is a salary cap for many euro leagues but they are also able to trade between leagues like soccer teams are. On top of that, they are backed by corporations like Phillips and have a never-ending supply of money to bankroll teams. Seriously, have you ever watched a euro game? The stands are only about 1/3 full. It's a corporate write off for taxes. Often times instead of money, companies offer other perks like housing, paying taxes, private chefs, and a car and driver, which they can write off as tax deductions.
It is still high quality basketball, but mostly it's a tax write-off for major international corporations. Because Benneton needs more money?
