bowling ball?

When you lift a bowling ball with a force of 84.1 N, the ball accelerates upward with an acceleration a. If you lift with a force of 92.6 N, the ball's acceleration is 1.96a. Calculate the weight of the bowling ball. Calculate the acceleration a.

force= mass x acceleration.

therefore, mass = force/acceleration

therefore, mass = difference in force/ difference in acceleration

(92.6 N - 84.1 N) / (1.96a - 1a)= 8.5/.96 = ~ 8.854

What bowling ball should i get for my next ball?

I currently only have 2 bowling balls, A Spare ball and A Brunswick Twisted Fury... currently the alley i bowl at i CANNOT get my twisted fury to hook back into the pocket. Twisted Fury is a Medium-Oily ball. First thing i want to know is, should i get a Heavy Oil Ball or a Light oil ball? Then that brings up the next question, which ball do you recommend for me?

How do I chose the right bowling ball?

I'd like to get a bowling ball that can get a nice hook.

Also, when I go to the bowling alleys, how do I know which balls are hard rubber and won't hook and which ones that will hook better... Cos I am practicing my form, and I don't know if my form is wrong, or if the ball just won't hook cos of what it is made of. I have my own good pair of bowling shoes.

It's based upon your style of bowling, what weight is perfect for you, aggressiveness of the coverstock/core combination, how long you have been bowling and what lane condition you regularly are bowling on. Also, practicing and trying to master your "form" is the best way to gain more experience and boost your skill in bowling. A good feel when getting fitted for a bowling ball is what you need when it gets drilled. Soft of rigid thumb slugs, thumb inserts and finger inserts are what most bowlers use instead of feeling the sometimes rough insides of the bowling ball without them. Some bowlers use wrist supports, but most that decide to stay bowling will purchase their own shoes and accessories as well as the required "first shot" and "spare" bowling balls.

Bowling ball coverstocks range from polyester, rubber, plastic, urethane, reactive urethane, reactive resin, particle and "veneers". These have basically different reactions on a wide range of lane conditions, but can be made to act similarly due to the way the ball is drilled as well as placement of thumb and finger holes in relation to the "pin". Those exotic drillings can help make a bowling ball go straighter as well as hook more.

Ask your local pro shop for assistance with which equipment is right for you, or if you're taking lessons, ask your certified USBC coach.

Entry level bowling balls can range from $50 to $100 and are either rubber, polyester, plastic, urethane or reactive urethane.

Intermediate level bowling balls can range from $100 to $150 and are either reactive urethane, reactive resin or particle.

Advanced or "performance" level bowling balls can range from $100 to $275 and are either reactive resin, particle or "veneer".

Brunswick, Morich, Elite, Ebonite, Hammer, AMF, Storm, Lane Masters, Roto Grip and Track are the major bowling ball manufacturers and can be purchased online at bowling.com, bowlingballsales.com, bowlingball.com or bowlersparadise.com, which are retailers with either free shipping or low prices. Good luck!

Bowling: Whats the difference between a professional ball and a performance ball?

Bowling: Whats the difference between a professional ball and a performance ball?

I will be buying a bowling ball soon and have been looking on websites. There are professional balls and performance balls. Whats the difference and what should I go with. I have been bowling several times a week now.

ok. so i'm not really sure if im right but i think the differenct between the pro.ball and the highpref.ball r:

the professional balls are for certain oil patterns - sport bowling (http://www.bowling.com/productsbycategory.asp?ID=161&categoryname=PBA+Balls+%26+Bags)

what is the site u were looking at?

What kind of bowling ball should my girlfriend get?

I am buying my girlfriend a bowling ball but not sure what kind to get her.

She throws a straight ball, but I am not sure exactly what kind to get her.

The lanes we usually bowl on are oily, her throws with a house ball will hook two maybe 3 boards to the left at the most when she throws the ball. Almost like a natural hook, She throws a 12 lbs. ball, so any help will be greatly apprciated.

Try having her check out the Storm Tropical Storm (reactive urethane $75), which comes in cool colors, as well as having various distinct fruity scents, depending on what color you purchase. Also, Brunswick has the T-Zone (plastic $45-$50) bowling ball that has cool colors, but no scent.

If she has a favorite cartoon, sports team, hip theme or just loves cool graphics, she should check Brunswick "Viz-A-Ball" (polyester). These are bowling balls with graphics and logos all over the bowling ball and cater to everyone that bowls. They're around $100, but well worth the money because everyone will ask where you got it from.

Good luck!
