I need to purchase an snowboard that is around the 4 - 500 $ range. maybe something like the Burton dominant. on a side note what is the arbor board that is similar in colouring on the bottom as the dominant called.

Arbor Snowboards?

i was looking a snowboards and noticed the arbor boards and i was wondering if Arbor is a good brand?

Thanks,
Cameron

Arbor makes great boards. They use all sorts of different wood in the construction of their boards like koa, Bamboo, eucalyptus, walnut and aspen just to mention a few. This not only enhances the ride but reduce Arbor's dependency on not so environmentally friendly materials. Which brings up the fact that Arbor is arguably the most environmentally conscience snowboard company around. If you, like many snowboarders, worry for the future of our sport Arbor definitely is a good brand to support.

I need to know what style and size snowboard I need, and good brands?

I'm about 5'4" around 145 lbs. (which is subject to change). Im about to learn how to snowboard, I skateboard so i'm sure i'll catch on pretty quick. But I would like to know what size and style snowboard I would need. I want to hit up the park and do rails and jumps, but I would also like to just ride around for fun. I'm also going to Alaska late in the upcoming winter and I want to board some backcountry as well. So if anyone could please tell me what size and style I should get it would be greatly appreciated. :-) And also what a good brand would be the four im considering are Burton, Forum, Arbor, and Option. I'd kinda like an all around board!

Thanks for the answers!!!

Aaron T.

The style of snowboard you need is an All Mountain board these boards can be used for all types of riding. You can use them in the park for rails and jumps and also for freeriding and riding in powder, they are the best sort of board to get for a begineer rider such as yourself.
The size you need to get according to your height and weight for an all mountain board is around a 153. Even if you put on a bit of weight you will be better off with a board on the small size as they are easier to control and turn than larger boards and are easyier to learn the basics on.
Ive listed some boards below made buy the brands you have mentioned that would suit you and the type of riding you want to do. Good luck.

Burton Clash
Forum Recon
Arbor Formula
Option GT

Need help looking for snowboard!! I'm a girl with a size 10.5 foot and I am 5'4 and 125lbs.?

My first board was a Ride Catalyst 143cm which was a good board but I'm looking for something more advanced. I bought an Arbor snowboard last year, but I bought a 147cm and it was WAYY too big for me. I'm looking for a guys board that is 140-144cm. HELP! (p.s. are boys boards wide enough for my shoe size? [I'm about a 9-9.5 in men's shoes])

from my research ive found mens sizes are 2 sizes off of womens, so for a mens size 8.5 i would recomend a waist width 23.8 to 24.7, preferbaly in the higher range for me. this should help you, the foot increaes .4 per half size. .8cm per whole

What snowboard should I get for christmas?

this will only be my second season riding but i do skate and im pretty good. i need a womens board that is for freeriding and pretty thin. i dont really care too much about brands but i like: burton, k2, rome, arbor, nitro, ride

What do you mean by pretty thin? Do you mean you like flexy boards? Do you mean you like light boards? Thin isn't really used too much to describe boards, so maybe a little more explanation would help us help you out a little more.
