TV Guide???

In october we got switched from Adelphia cable to comcast cable, and we don't even have a TV guide channel.
Is there a # that we can call to ask them about it or something??

You can find it on TV.yahoo.com. Enter your zip code, choose your provider and u'll have the full channel list

How can I pay for my TV Guide Subscription on line?

I want to get my bills paid in a hurry so I am looking for an address to pay for my TV Guide Subscription on line, but have been unable to find a payment center for them. Anyone help me?

If one really dislikes the TV guide, but wants a way to get what is on TV, how do we go about that?

I really dislike the TV guide. They took a really great magazine and ruined it. So where can I get TV listings other then the funky listing in the Sunday paper. I want to know what is going to be on not in a hour from now, but for the whole day. Is there anything out there to satisfy my needs. BTW, I have dish network if that helps you any.

I can't get a link from the computer I am using but just go to your search space & put the words Dish local tv guide & you will have an online one then you can learn how to read up on it more. Or if you need a paper one they should have their own brand you can buy. I would call them & tell them you are a loyal customer & see how much it is & if it is more than what you pay for what you have been buying asking if they can give you a discount. They might not be able to discount your guide but they can than discound your service so you will feel compensated.

Why did TV Guide Magazine stop listing the CW and MTV?

Has any TV Guide reader noticed this? For the past three issues, in the grid listings toward the back of the magazine, TV Guide has stopped listing the CW and MTV. This seems shocking to me, considering that the CW is an actual network, and MTV is one of the top ten basic cable channels for the 18-35 market. I cannot find any explanation from TV Guide or their website, and it's very frustrating. I know I can go online to get the listings, but the magazine should really still carry them.

They stopped doing it because those channels are talked about a lot in the articles, so you basicly know what's on by reading those.

Help me find recipe for Rock Cornish Hens in TV guide early 60's with cherries. Lost mine when house burned.

The best recipe I have ever had & it called for the cherries to be flambeyed. I can't find anything close on the foodnetworks. It was printed in TV guide in the early 60's and I used it often but when my house burned down in the early 90's I couldn't remember all of the details but the recipe was attributed to Wayne & Shuster, this much I certainly remember. I want to make it again for my children & grandchildren.

Flaming Sherried Rock Cornish Game Hens

Ingredients

(2 servings)

2 Rock Cornish Game Hens, defr
4 tb Butter
1/4 c Sherry
1/4 c Brandy

Instructions

Remove giblets from defrosted birds and discard. Melt the butter in a heavy skillet with heat-proof handle. Season hens with salt and pepper, then brown lightly all over in the butter, turning frequently. This should take about 20 minutes. When hens are browned, add sherry to the pan and transfer it to the oven. Roast birds 45-60 minutes, until they are tender, basting often. Transfer hens to heated (and heatproof) serving dish. Warm brandy in a small saucepan and ignite it. Pour over the hens and serve flaming.

Another recipe
Cornish Hens with Cherry Sauce

2 Rock Cornish hens
4 tablespoons cornstarch
4 tablespoons sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 (1-pound) can pitted sour red cherries
1/2 cup dry sherry
1 tablespoon slivered orange peel
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup red currant jelly
Roast hens at 425 degrees F for 1 hour.
In saucepan, combine next 5 ingredients. Drain cherries, reserving juice. Pour sherry over cherries and set aside. Add cherry juice to cornstarch mixture. Stir in orange peel, juice and jelly, cooking over medium heat until mixture thickens. Add cherries and sherry just before serving and pour over hens.
