Renting villa in Castelli Sept 2wk, day trips from there. How are roads/times from Rome,Pescara,Venice. advice

Is it an easy drive from Rome to Castelli? Family in Pescara, Torre di Passieri and Rome. We want to drive to some main cities as well but also relax at the beach. Can we drive north along the coast easily from Pescara?

While I haven't been to Castelli, I have driven around Abruzzo alot. The roads are good and relatively easy to navigate. Between Rome, Pescara, and Venice is all Autostrade (Highway). It looks like you've picked a beautiful place to stay - right near Gran Sasso - the tallest mountain in the Apennines. Abruzzo is like Tuscany, only better, because there are fewer tourists and lots of beautiful, tall, snow-capped mountains. Make sure you take day trips to L'Aquila, Lago Campotosto, Scanno, Sulmona, Penne, Atri, and Citta San'Angelo. Enjoy!

I wonder if someone can give me informations about a painter named *Castelli* and his painting "BED TIME".

the subject of the painting is" two nacked children by the fire"

no clue who it is or what the meaning of the painting might have been.

Is somebody able to provide me an image of the work SON OF THE SON of Sandro Chia?

The encyclopedia Encarta says that this work is in the gallery Leo Castelli of New York, and I look for it for all internet and books, but I have not found it.

Wow, this is a difficult work to find. I see you point. You probably checked the Sandro Chia website. I did not see this work (Son of the Son, or Figlio y [del] Figlio) listed under the public places that have works by Sandro Chia. I checked the work from the 80's, but Son of The Son is not included.

I am using google, to check some of the art poster houses, to see if they have a reproduction. Leo Castelli gallery has a number of reproductions at Art Poster.com. No image for Son of the Son. I will continue to browse some of the usual art poster websites, to see if I come up with anything.

I checked the ArtPrice.com site, to see if the painting was listed in the images of auction results for this artist. Didn't see it:

Checked Google images, using the search words: Sandro Chia. There are numerous images. Will take some time to review.

There is a 40 page Sandro Chia catalog that is for sale. You might inquire via email, if this particular image is in the catalog. Kind of a polite way of also asking if they know where this painting is at the moment, and if there is an image to review. The website indicates a "lonnie" as the contact person.
