Cycling Bib Shorts News

If you wear bib cycling shorts how do you get rid of your wastes during a race ?
It has asked many times before but shorts are one thing but "bib" shorts are another. You can't just pull them down you got on straps so what do you do or do do you stop, drop, and dump ?
#2: Plan ahead. One would think that you would plan meals and elimination the day before so this isn't an issue.
#1: Short race, not an issue. Long race, just let'er rip in the bibs. That's one of the reasons they're black. I know for a fact that during Iron distance triathlons, this is how the pros and elites handle it. Sounds gross, but no one really notices when you're already covered with several hours worth of sweat and gatorade.
Does anyone know of brands of cycling bib shorts that run larger along the quadriceps?
I recently had a pair of cycling shorts by Performance Bike in a medium which fit quite well. I got the same shorts in bib style and even a size large fits smaller then the regular shorts did. A pair of bib shorts I recently purchased made by Adidas do the same thing? The shorts do not come down far enough towards my knee. The regular shorts came down to about an inch or so above my knee but the bibs fit about an inch to an inch and a half above that. I prefer for my shorts to cover the majority of my quads and end toward my knee. Does anyone know of any brands (and even specific styles and sizes) that tend to fit longer in the quad? As someone who is 6 foot, 1 inch. tall and who is mostly legs I'm having difficulty finding properly-fitting bib shorts. Thanks.
Get Castelli they come a little smaller than normal bicycle shorts, so you may need to order one size larger. I am about 5'9" I and always wear a size medium. I am right in between a large and medium on their chart. I think a large would be to big for me. From what I have read European shorts are longer in the leg than American. Not sure if this is true or not. Good luck.
Cycling shorts, Bib vs. Regular. Which do you prefer for training and why please?
I do 500 - 700 km (~300 - 450 miles) a month at 25 to 35 kph. I have always used elastic waist band cycling shorts but am now experiencing some irritation at the elastic contact points due to particularly hot conditions locally. Would appreciate your shared experience. Would the bib design help? Are there any disadvantages? Thanks.
BIb shorts are the best. In my experience they are more comfortable, period. On a 10 miles spin or 100 mile group ride, bib shorts remove the waistband and therefore reduce irritation. Many of them are made with wicking uppers to allow easier cooling in the heat. Pearl Izumi makes a nice short, but they are very expensive. Sugoi is not a bad value.
What are the benefits of bib-shorts vs. just regular cycling shorts?
I am not sure there are "benefits" to bib shorts over regular cycling shorts -- just differences.
On short hard sprint training rides I like bibs. On long all day rides give me regular shorts as I will have to get out of them on breaks in the ride.
I really don't experience trouble keeping regular shorts up at my waist.
