cycling shoes?
i have tried specialized, shimano, and pearl izumi shoes and all of them seem to be to narrow. i have even tried the trick of going up a size but that doesn't help. what are some wide cycling shoes and where can i find them
Sidi makes road and mountain cycling shoes in wide widths. They refer to them as "mega" models, and they are roughly equivalent to EE width. They are the only brand I've found that fits my square feet. Sidi shoe are not cheap (start around $150), but they are very very good and will last a long time. Since they will make you more comfortable, I think they are a better investment than most cycling purchases.
As with any shoes, your best bet is to try them on before you buy them. However, the mega shoes are hard to find in most local shops. Lots of online places have them (Performance, etc.) but you may have to check around to find the exact size and model you want. If you order online, make sure you can return them without extra fees.

What are some tips for padding the inside of my cycling shoes?
I need some tips to help get the most padding on the insole of my cycling shoes, without causing my shoes to be cramped. I already have dr. shcols air pillow insoles, but it seems that i need more padding. Really, just on the fore foot. My reason being is that I have mortons neuroma in both feet and even the slighest amount of pressure against a hard surface causes problems.
I would suggest going to your nearest shimano custom fit shoe centre, for your shoes. These shoes then fit lke a glove so I would think reduce any pressure points. Hope it helps.
Where can I find extended size clipless cycling shoes?
I wear size 14 shoes and I'm finding it very difficult to find clipless cycling shoes. I waiting to hear back from LBS to see if they can special order some shoes. Any other ideas?
specialized goes that large..

What are good brands for Cycling shoes?
I need to buy cycling shoes so what are the good brands out there, where can you buy them?
There are alot of good brands out there. Carnac and Sidi are probably the two highest quality and will be some of the most expensive.
Shimano makes a nice shoe as does Pearl Izumi. Performance has two house brands Forte and Cat1. Both are nice.
Most brands have websites that will list local dealers.
Good luck!

I get numb feet when i am cycling, what kind of insoles should i buy for my cycling shoes?
I have a new pair of nike kato cycling shoes, but after wearing them for only a short period of time whilst off road cycling, the soles of my feet go numb. The shoes fit perfectly, and i don't get cold feet or have circulation problems. Should i get insoles? If so what kind?
I take it nothing has changed on the rest of your bike set-up/components and that you are used to riding off-road?
Insoles could make it worse as the fit might be tighter. Immediately after the next ride; check you don't have any red chafing marks on you feet. It sounds like your shoes are too tight somewhere, rubbing or squeezing your toes/a nerve.
Don't just buy insoles, try a few more rides, you may just need to get used to the shoes and bed them in a little to the shape of your feet. Ask more experienced riders/friends if they can spot the problem. If it doesn't get better visit a podiatrist to see if the cause can be isolated.
