How do I start collecting football cards?
My son wants to start collecting NFL football cards. I want to get him a starter set with holders and a binder. Where do I get the cards from? I'm only interested in finding current cards 2006-present. What are the trusted namebrands for football cards?
Go to a local card shop. You'll find them in the phone book. Also find a copy of Beckett Football Card Collector magazine. They will list cards and values of cards. I like Topps and Fleers. But there are a lot of different companies. I've been collecting since 1969. Topps used to dominate sports cards. Now there are a lot of different companies. You and your son have to decide why you want to collect. You can get sets, singles or players from certain teams. You also have to decide how much you want to spend. That's a big question. Some of the cards from 2006 are expensive. If you have any questions you can email me. I'd be more then willing to help you and your kid. It's a great hobby.
How can i find the value of football cards?
Someone had given my dad a box full of old football cards (there has to be more than 500+ cards) and he thinks they're worth something. I have no clue what to do with the cards and where i can get help to find they're value. Any help?
(From looking at some cards randomly they date back to 1987, some are holographic and some a serial #s printed on it. They're all in pretty good condition too.)

A good source is Becketts magazine. You can find this magazine at any bookstore like Borders or Barnes & Nobles.
What is the best way to sell baseball/football cards?
I have bag full of baseball and football cards and do not know what way is best to sell them or even where to sell them. How to organize them? How do I know which are valuable?

e bay is your best option prohibly the easyest way to get the best price for the cards or if your desperate goto your local card shop but they will only give you 30-40% of the value of the card at best
as for findin out what there worth pick up a beckette that the best way at finding out what there worth
