With the Callaway Golf GES set of 7 clubs what do you use in sand?
I just got the Callaway GES club set that I bought on Ebay. It has three woods, three irons which are I think are hybrids but these are my first golf clubs so I'm a bit confused and a putter. There is no wedge, or at least nothing that says it is a wedge. The clubs are all labeled as driver, long fairway wood, mid fairway wood, long iron, mid iron, short iron and obviously putter. So I am curious if anyone knows which of these clubs I would use in sand? Right now I am just practicing driving but eventually I want to play on a course so will need to know which to use. Thanks to anyone who can help me out.
Out of the sand you want to play the club that has the most loft. That way the ball will get out easier. I recommend using your short iron for greenside bunkers (Ones right by the green) and I reccomend your mid iron for fairway bunkers (Ones far from the hole along the fairway)
Which Callaway golf set should I get?
I just started golf, and I've been doing some reasearch. It seems to me like Callaways is a good brand to get. Since I'm on a budget, and just a beginner, i thought that i should just get a set. I looked at the Callaway sets and they dont seem to be too expensive.
Their called Callaway Top-Flite Sets. I dont know which set to get.
There is like 4 different types. And i dont know why but some sets seem to be more expensive than others. Like the womens golf club sets seem to be more expensive than the mens.

I got a Acuity starter club but it dont have any irons..so i was shopping online for some golf clubs and i went to walmart.com and they have these Callaway Top flite XL 15-piece set for only $199.99!!! They didnt say Junior set but i'm still suspicious cuz the junior Callaway set at Walmart is more expensive than this...please look at the link and tell me if u think its an adult set!! PLEASE!! Yeah they are full size clubs. I started out with a set of Top flight but a few years ago. Same exact set, and then I bought Callaway X-14 irons, Top flight is a very good starting product, I highly recommend.
I can buy a brand new set of Callaway golf clubs (last years model) for $800 in Asia. Why so cheap there?
8 big bertha irons, 4 big bertha woods (metals) and a putter included. An associate is going there next week and can buy these at a retail outlet at that price. They are absolutely authentic new Callaway.
They are most likely COUNTERFEIT. I saw a 60 minutes about this. They tested golf clubs bought in Asia against genuine ones and proved that the big name clubs sold in Asia for peanuts are fake and poorly made. Stay away.
When i purchased a topflite d2 golf set from callaway over the phone, i wasnt told about import costs?
I specifically asked where there any other taxes, import, duty or shipping charges i should know about or have to pay, because i live in Canada and Callaway is american based, and the sales guy said no and if there were any problems that Callaway would take care of it. I went through with the order and the only thing i had to pay was about 30 dollars in taxes, bringing the total from 399 to about 430. I get my golf set 3 days later by UPS and i see a charge for shipping about 39 dollars, which i called in and got a refund for, and a import charge for a 150 dollars!!! I spoke with a manager and found out the guy that helped me with the purchase of the clubs was new. So i told him that i should not have to pay for his mistake when i explictly and specifically asked where there any additional costs. I have emailed and faxed my UPS bill and callaway said they will look into it. I was wondering am i entitled to compensation? Have any consumer laws or been violated?
The sales person you talked to is an agent and representative of that company and the company must absorb the expense of the error of the employee.
