Golf Drivers News

golf drivers?

alright here is the situation....I have put enough money aside for any driver I want. But I know as well as you that the most expensive doesn't akways mean the best. I was wondering your opinions on the best driver out in golf right now. Please explain your reasoning as well. Thanks!

What are the negatives for a woman who continues to use golf drivers made for men?

I use a PRGR lady driver and have found recently that I hit much further and still straight with my husband's PRGR driver. However, I'm afraid that I may develop bad habits or any negative impacts on my swing if I continue to use a man's driver. What negative effects, if any, will using men's drivers/irons on a woman's golf swing or physique?

If the shaft flex is right for you, you should be OK. Seniors (like me) and lady's (like you) require a shaft with more flex, cause we don't swing as hard/fast as young males (those were the days). If the shaft is too stiff for you, you won't come around on the ball in time and you'll either slice or push the ball a little more than normal. Since you stated you're hitting straighter with your husbands driver than with yours, I'd say the shaft flex is right. If you're looking for even more distance, I'd try switching balls to an 80 compression. I've gained about 15 yds. off the tee by dropping down from 90 to 80 comp. And don't that tick off the younger guys I play with when I blow by them with a ladies ball?!?! If you're interested in pure distance, try the Precept Lady Diamond, if you like a little softer feel (with distance), try the MC Lady. The MC Lady's scuff quicker than I like, so I have to change balls more often, but at $8 a dozen, who cares?

Why do golf drivers have a rounded face?

Golf irons have flat faces, so why are driver's faces rounded?

Drivers have to take into account two factors; center of gravity and gear effect. The head of the driver rotates around the center of gravity, which located back in the club head (away from the face.) Assume you are hitting a right-handed driver. The toe of the club is rotating in a counter-clockwise direction more quickly than the heel of the club. That rotation would put hook spin (counter-clockwise spin) on the golf ball of it were struck on the toe of the club. Conversely if the ball were struck with the heel of the club, it would put slice spin (clockwise spin) on the ball. So...the club face is rounded because a ball struck with hook spin needs to start out to the right and vice-versa for slice spin, the ball needs to start to the left to counter the effect of the spin. The rounded face helps the toe shots get pushed a little and the heel shots get pulled a little. Irons have the center of gravity closer the face and the gear effect is lessened, therefor no rounding is needed. Look at you clubs. The larger the head, the more rounded the face. Sorry for the long answer...hard to sum up.

Golf - Drivers?

I am looking for a new driver. Can you help by telling me what's out there and at a reasonable price?

I would reccommend the Nike Sasquatch. The club has a large sweet spot and allows for accurated mis-hits. I got mine from Golfsmith for 180$. It hits like a 400 dollar club. Just a suggestion but I would go with the Sasquatch from Golfsmith.

how do I replace the weatherstrip on a VW Golf drivers window?

firstly remove the door panel Its best to remove the glass which is done by releasing the regulator and letting everything slip into the bottom Remove the old strip pushing dowmwards and when out you will see at least 4 clips shaped n and on the edge of the n will be a little jagged for grip Slip the new one into place and as best you can tap the clips upwards to grip Refit regulator and panel Be lucky
