How many people are sick and tired of hearing "Sid the Kid", "Crosby" and "Sidney Crosby"?? I'm fed up with him, nowadays hockey is known as Sidney Crosby! Gimme a break!
It's not jealousy, it's the fact that it's getting boring and all and you know change it up a bit so you hear about other players too.
I'm not saying he sucks, I'm just saying he's getting boring since everyone keeps talking about him. I wouldn't mind if we heard something different because we're always hearing Crosby's the best and stuff.

i got same responses. jealousy. wish my team had him. whatever. i felt the same. he's great. but he's not everything.
people are just stubborn. and blind sheep. people want a hero. so they make some rising prospect who just finished his 2nd season and is 20 into this hockey demi-god.

LeBron James follows the big bucks to Broadway when he becomes an NBA free agent in 2010, don't expect NHL counterpart Sidney Crosby to follow him.
Crosby really has no burning desire to head to hockey hotbeds Montreal or Toronto, either. Sid the Kid from Nova Scotia is quite happy in Pittsburgh, and might be content to grow up there for many years.
"It depends on the person and the personality, what you want and what's important to you," the 21-year-old Penguins captain said. "I live a pretty simple life. I want to play somewhere people are interested in the sport and for an organization that cares. I've got a lot of that in Pittsburgh. I feel pretty fortunate to be there. It's not the biggest city, but it's a city I really like."
Crosby won't be faced with a decision until at least after the 2012-13 season upon the expiration of his current contract, a five-year extension signed in 2007.
Already the face of the NHL with endorsement deals with Reebok and others well in hand, Crosby doesn't need to head to Madison Avenue to increase his exposure. He can pick the place that makes him the happiest and gives him the best chance to win the Stanley Cup.
The Penguins reached the final last season, Crosby's third in the league, before losing to Detroit in six games.
"Hockey is my focus," Crosby said. "If the opportunity comes and it fits, great, but I'm not setting myself up in a place because of the marketing opportunities. I want to play in the best environment hockey-wise and I feel like I have that in Pittsburgh."

Sidney Crosby is my FAVORITE player in the NHL!! I think he is the most amazing hockey player in the world and extremely HOT!! I was wondering what anyone else thought of him.
As a Pens fan since their inception into the NHL, Crosby is by far the second best player I've seen wearing a Penguins sweater (beside Mario, of course). Sidney is proving to be an excellent all-around hockey player, both offensively and defensively. He has worked diligently on his defensive responsibilities, and this has been demonstrated in his play this year. His coach has just said that he's the top player in the league now....after a great rookie year, he is putting together another top-notch season. I believe he is one of the super stars of the league, and barring any serious injuries, will probably be inducted into Hockey's Hall-Of-Fame after he retires. He's only in his second year - wait a few more years to see what he'll do. He is extremely popular with the fans (note the all-star voting), and having met him, I can honestly say he is an extremely down-to-earth human being - no oversized ego, not condescending, just a 19 yr old who is mature beyond his years. He is a very hard worker who isn't satisfied with just being avrage...he's willing to work hard for his successes. He deals with the press excellently. His critics say he's a diver, soft, a whiner.......he even admitted that he said some things to the on-ice officials last year that should have remained unspoken....he has been very quiet with them this season so far. When you see natural talent like his, some people are prone to magnify his so-called imperfections.....but I would think if those fans had an opportunity to get him on their team, they'd quickly accept this talented player.
You should have seen the play he made tonight against the Islanders that resulted in R. Malone's third goal of the game....crosses the blue line, puts the puck between his legs, takes a checks and sheds off the defenseman, passes the puck to himself behind his back off the boards, regains possession, and feeds Malone standing in the left slot for an easy goal...plays like that aren't made by simply anyone.
