If i apply rubbing alchohol to a ping pong paddle would it eat away at the rubber?
I want to sterylize a ping pong paddle(dont ask why) and i was wondering if rubbing alcohol would be the best route. Anyone have a better suggestion?
Bleach will kill most germs too, or you could use a spray.
Whatever you use, keep in on top of the rubber and don't let it seep into the joint line. I think Bleach is your better bet as it shouldn't eat up the glue between the paddle and the rubber. Don't soak it, just wipe with Bleach, let sit about 20 minutes and then wipe dry w/paper towel. Wear rubber gloves - Bleach really eats away at your skin!
Why is spanking with a ping pong paddle bad?
The few times I do spank I use a small light ping pong paddle. I do this cuz hands are for hugging and loving. I never spank in anger. I never deliver many swats in a row. I only strike the bottom. How is this bad?
I've been told that the advantage to using your hand instead of a paddle or something is because you can feel the impact, too. I agree that hands are for loving and hugs but my husband believes in spanking, so we've come to a compromise on this. We're going to get a small wooden paddle and use it only when our son has been corrected then deliberately disobey's us. I was spanked as a child, but after awhile, when I got older (like 6-7) my parents would say 'you better stop or you'll get a spanking' and I would stop, my husband was raised the same way...and it's not a threat, it's a promise that you follow thru with, that way kids learn boundaries. I don't think it's bad what you're doing, just make sure you'd doing it to teach them something and not to hurt them. Soon, you should have "power of words over them" so what you SAY has a deep enough impact to keep them from disobeying. Good luck!

it would probably be cheaper to see if you could have someone like Bic do a private label for you sometimes the big paddle makers may offer the label thing as well

Rubbing alcohol will dry the rubber. Instead, try using Lysol. Dilute and use according to the package directions. Good luck!
I need help finding a good ping pong paddle?
I am looking for a ping pong paddle that is $40 or under but fits my style of play. I slam the ball a lot and do a lot of positioning. I use little spin. I hit the ball pretty fast too.
I would actually recommend your "bread and butter" ping pong paddle for the smash method. Find a heavy paddle with rubber bumps as the paddle material. It's better for smashing and doesn't give much spin.
