Is a table top ping pong table, supposed to be on a table?

In a way yes. it is painted green and white like a tennis court but it is on a metal or wood table.

How do you refinish the top of a Ping Pong Table?

in the time it'd take you to refinish it, you could go out and buy a ping pong table with a surface suitable for tournaments. table tennis, they call it.

Ping pong table in 2nd floor game room, a good idea ?

I am thinking of putting a Pool table with a ping pong conversion top, my game room is on 2nd floor. Me and my friends are pretty good TT players so the game is fast paced, I am concerned if the floor would start having any problems due to this ?

Should be ok, check that the floor is an original feature of the house. Try to opt for a fairly light table placing the legs over the joists where possible. There's a chance that the plaster on the ceiling below may crack but it is very doubtful that you'll cause structual damage.

Pool table, Air Hockey, Ping Pong, regular table all-in-one!?

Ever heard of it? Whats it called? Where can I find one?
I swear I've seen it before, It's 3 games in one, you just switch out the table tops. So basically you can have people over, sit at it & eat, when everyone's done you remove that top, unfold either the Ping Pong (Table Tennis) or the Air Hockey table, if you don't want either of those, take it off & play pool!
I've seen plenty of pool tables w/either Ping Pong or Air Hockey, or even a regular table insert, but (& I know I've seen em) I can't find one that offers all of these options. I remember when I found em years ago, it was because they were called something special, & once you know what they are called & you type that in as a search, you're golden.

No, this isn't a cheap plastic table, it's actually a normal pool table, it just comes with various inserts to play the games I mentioned, whether its regulation size or bar sized, I don't know that. I just know they are called spomething special....

They seem to be called different tihngs, like multi-function table or 3 in 1 game table - though from the descriptions I'm reading they usually seem to be billiards, air hockey and foosball....not ping-pong.

Can a ping pong ball bounce on plexiglass?

Reason asking wanted to try to make a ping pong table with the top being make out of plexiglass.

Ping Pong balls bounce off damn near anything. Except for maybe shag carpeting.
