okay, so summer is approaching fast! i learned to water ski last summer so i know the basics, but can you do tricks on water skiis, i know theres a billion on the wakeboard, but with water skiing[[on 2 skiis]], are there any tricks can do and how do you do them? thanks!
yes you can do tricks on a waterski alough its a bit harder. i ski n one ski but on two skis you can do all the surface tricks and loads more. but i would sugest to go on one si as its easier and you get more points in a competition. and you can do more tricks
this will help

Is there a difference between wakeboarding ropes and water skiing ropes?
I have a water skiing rope and want to start wakeboarding. Do i have to buy a rope specifically made for wakeboarding or can i use the water skiing rope?
i'm a 2 year wakeboarder after waterskiing my entire life...I didn't think I would be able to tell a difference in ropes. the stretch you get from a ski rope is there fo a reason. I couldn't believe i could feel the difference. If you are going to spend any amount of time on a wakeboard go ahead and buy the rope.
Plans or kit to build a boat for water skiing?
Hey everyone, I see tons of plans and kits online to build catamarans, kayaks, small fishing boats... I want plans or a kit to build a large speed boat for water skiing! You know like the boat can hold like 6 - 8 people. It would be like 25 feet long, etc. Any one know of any? Thanks.
Try Glen-L Marine Designs... They have quite a few ski boat and power cruiser designs that may be what you're looking for. Glen-L specializes in wooden boats, but also has plans for boats made from fiberglass, steel and aluminum, and up to 48 feet. My favorites are the big mahogany speed boats designed after the beautiful lake cruisers of the 1930's, only with modern power and finishing methods.

How fast should the boat be going while someone is water skiing?
we r going water skiing for the first time tomorrow and we dont know how fast to go
Since it's your first time, you will probably be using two skis. On two skis, the range is usually 18-20 mph for a beginner. Once you get better, you will want to go faster because it's easier. If you get good enough to ski on one ski, you will probably want to go 22-28 mph. I ski on one ski (called slalom) and am intermediate, and prefer a boat speed of 28-32 mph, depending on water/wave conditions. Check out wikki too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_skiing
I had a snowboard lesson yesterday and my feet cramped in the boots, this also happens when water skiing?
I am a slalom water skiier and my feet will cramp after six or so passes. Yesterday, I went snowboarding for the 1st time and had a lesson...my feet cramped up only when we had to 'walk' the board up the hill or into the chair lift, anyone know why? My water ski bindings fit great and although the snowboard boots were rentals, they were comfortable as well. Don't know, any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.
My feet do this whenever my boots are too small or too tight. Try a larger size next time. My feet still give me problems at times, but rarely as long as I don't tighten them too much. Also having my bindings too tight, especially the strap over the toes, will cause them to cramp. I think part of it too is the muscles in your feet have to gradually get used to snowboarding. Once you've done it for a while it will not happen very often.
One more thing, make sure you are not dehydrated. Mine cramp much more easily if I haven't drank enough fluids, and beer doesn't count.
