Why do you like Chivas? Some of you don't even know their history.
And please don't say "Becuz they are the best".
Tell me why you like them.
When I was young, like 2 or 3 years old, I lived in Guadalajara. As I grew older I started to get interested in soccer. I started to watch soccer. It was almost as fun as playing soccer. So I picked the city's team, Chivas. Since then I started to watch them play on television, and occasionally went to El Estadio Jalisco. I even made friends with some retired players that lived pretty close to us, like Noe Zarate and El Chololo Diaz. So yeah I practically go for Chivas because of where I lived, but there is also other stuff like the tradition of having only Mexicans, having 11 championships (9 at the time I started liking them), etc. That's why I LOVE Chivas!
Oh by the way you don't need to know a teams history. Anybody can go for whoever they want to. And if your saying that because of band wagoners, every "big" team has atleast some band wagoners whether you want to admit it or not.
Who believes Chivas needs to obtain new players for the team?
Jorge Vergara needs to realize that Chivas needs to buy new players. I agree that young players from the institution are good and their talent needs to be exposed in order to grow and become great players (like Omar Bravo, Carlos Vela, or Patricio Araujo). However, Chivas needs new known faces in the team. Mexican-born players of course!!!
Which players would you like to see in the team?
I don't think so man.
First of all, Vergaras philosophy has always been to invest in the young. So in order to get new players like this, ud have to get Vergara out, which I dont see happening, ever.
We have a lot of young players, but look at the things we do. Chivas is top contender every single tournament, every single season. Quiere decir que tenemos equipo para rato. We can only get better.
Until we miss a liguilla, I dont think we have anything to worry about
Is Chivas Regal 25-year old or 21-year old Royal Salute a worthy law school graduation gift?
I've a friend graduating law school in the coming year and was just wondering if either Chivas Regal 25-Year scotch or the Chivas 21-Year old Royal Salute scotch is a good gift, and also worth the money?
Either would be a wonderful gift and money well spent only if the person you are giving it to is a Scotch devotee and would appreciate it. Make sure that they like Scotch first and can tell the difference between regular aged Scotch and fine aged Scotch.

Does Chivas deserve to be the winner of the Apertura 2006 tournament?
Chivas entered the final stage of the Mexican league as the 8th team. They defeated Cruz Azul, the first classified team in la liguilla, and America, the ones who think they are the s**t. Now, they are about to play the final and they sure as hell will not lose.
PS. Be honest, in the last years Chivas has shown that they are the best by winning the super clasicos, defeating Boca Jrs., playing against Barcelona, and participating in the Libertadores Cup.
Well, chivas is a great institution...this past two years they've been in the libertadores fighting for the title with bench players!! Why? Cause they had 6 starters removed from them so Mexico can compete on the Confederations Cup and chivas still managed to getr to semi-finals on the libertadores..Now what happens after that? Well, libertadores once again and the same 6 starters are removed for the world cup and they still reach the libertadores semi-finals. True they stunk on previous two local tournaments but the development team and their bench players sure pulled it off. Now that the team is complete they will sure win the the Apertura, lets face it...they deserve it. Arriba las Chivas!!

I was recently at the Chivas USA-LA Galaxy game and sat (or rather, stood) in the Chivas USA supporter section. All of the fans there sung different songs in Spanish the entire game, and I was wondering if anybody knew of a site where the lyrics of the songs are (or better yet, translations).
