Indoor Soccer 9 5 News

PICS: which outdoor/indoor soccer shoes.. can't decide!?

okay i'm a 15 year old girl who plays regional soccer. the indoor season is coming up and i need new shoes altogether.. and i can't pick between 2 pairs of indoors and 3 outdoors. i picked all good quality shoes because it's what i need. here's the pictures:

indoor 1- http://www.foxsoccershop.com/departments-footwear-puma-shop-by-size-size-5-5-puma-women-s-v-konstrukt-ii-trainer--coral-wh-.html

i was thinking of matching the indoor pink pumas with the outdoor pumas that match..? what do u think?

First off, buy from www.soccer.com, there is more selection and possibly better prices. Then, I would prefer the Nike for the indoor, while I would go for the Konstrukt for the outdoor. But thats only because you asked me for my opinions on the shoes you have above. Now, for outdoor, first realize what position you want to play and buy a shoe that will help you in that position. Also, look at the weight of the shoe as a factor, the lighter the shoe, the faster the run. Lotto and Puma have probably the lightest shoes out there, you should check them out. However, if you want to go for style, I can not make a choice for you at all.

What's size difference between soccer shoes and regular shoes?

I'm trying to buy indoor shoes online because stores have horrible selection and not available in my size. I want this one: http://www.soccer.com/IWCatProductPage.p...

I tried the same kind of shoes (different color) in 8.5 because they didn't have any that is higher and my toe goes all the way to the end and is tight. I'm wondering if I should order 9s or 9.5 on soccer.com. I also wear size 9 shoes which are a little big on me (Nike). I don't know. Please help!

you should get a 9, usually for indoor or turf you are the same size as your regular shoe. cleats for grass are usually a half size bigger than your regular shoe

High school soccer?

Hi. I'm going into high school as a freshman and I was just wondering what things I would need to be really good at to be able to make the soccer team. I don't need to worry about conditioning cause I'm already doing that for basketball. Also I have been playing soccer for about 9 years and I'm already pretty good. I can get by just about anybody. And I was one of the best players on the mixed team I played on befor, so I'm not someone that if you knock me down 5 times in a row I won't get back up cause I have gotten knocked over by the guys on the other teams all the time when I played for my old league. Oh yeah I have also played indoor soccer. One of my problems is that the coaches are not expecting many freshman to try out. and the school does not have a freshman team only jv and varsity. I need to know what I need to do to make sure I make the team. I know alot of sophmmores and up are going to try out so I need to know how not to get over looked.
I'm pretty good at all positions but I like playing striker or mid feilder the best.

I had the same problem in my school...my advice is to just go out there with confidence...if your as good as u think u r then u got nothing to worry about...all u rilli got to do is just give 110% of your ability...it may seem hard with all the sophmores and up trying out but just give it your all...in my case dat was wat i did n i ended up as captain...just play your heart out and be confident in yourself

What style of shoes are these by Nike?

The ones Alex Gaskarth is wearing in the Coffee Shop Soundtrack video, right at the end. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMekefHmLVE
last 10 seconds where he is climbing up the bathroom, I couldn't find them on Nike's or Zappos Journey UO etc. Don't look like dunks almost look like indoor soccer shoes.

i get low dunks.& usually they give u like a 30 % off coupon so the shows come out to like 50 dollars.

Should I be shocked that my friends did this to me?

Hi,

Me and 5 other friends started an 5-a-side indoor soccer team for fun at our local sports centre, in which we play once a week.

Ok so one time I couldn't make it to a game because I had car troubles just as I pulled out of my driveway on my way there. It took me a while to solve the problem and, by the time it was done, it was already too late to get there before kick-off. I called them and told one friend what happened and it was already half-time, and they were playing a man down apparently (i didnt know this fact 2 weeks later though). I couldn't have gotten there before the game ended so it was pointless of me leaving home to travel there at the time.

I didn't drive my car for a few days but the next time I took it out, I noticed that my car problem was a lot more serious than I thought. So serious that my car was not in a state to drive and I couldn't make it to the next game. I failed to call them to let them know I couldn't make it again (I know, my fault!) and apparently they still played with a man down again.

The next week (yesterday), hours before a game, I get a msg on my phone saying that they are replacing me with another friend I know of and that I can have my registration money back. No warning prior to this msg! All of a sudden they have replaced me.

They stated the reasons that for the past 2 games I didn't call in saying I couldn't make it and they were pretty frustrated by this as they had to play with a man down. Which is kinda strange because it is 5-a-side indoor competition and we had 6 registered players...the only explanation I can think of is that one other teammate also couldn't make it but probably let one friend know that prior to the game. But usually you can grab some last-minute replacement from another team (we have done it before).

Then they went on to say that they thought I didn't want to play anymore, just after 2 games of me failing to appear. Then they went on to say it wasn't an easy decision and that I left them no choice, and that if I wanted to come back they will end up with 4 reserves which is too much. Because apparently, one friend (not the one replacing me) who did not show up for 6 games straight (we were guessing due to work commitments) is back in the team and paid for his registration...and this guy is my closest friend but I wasn't upset at him, I'm upset with the others.

I told one friend about how serious my car situation was and said that he would talk to them and get back to me, haven't heard from him yet.

I couldn't do anything about the first time as my car had troubles just as I was about to leave home for the game. The second time is my fault, I know I am responsible for that. But this is our 3rd indoor season together (this season we have 2 different players than last time) and we have NEVER kicked out a player out of the team! In past seasons we have had times where teammates didn't appear without warning and we still didn't kick them out! The thought never entered our heads, because we played for fun. I would never do this to any of them!

These people are my friends since SCHOOL! I have known them for 8-9 yrs, however we don't really hang out as often nowdays because of we are not in school anymore but still see them as good friends! We were always involved together in soccer ever since school. I feel betrayed. Don't you think their decision was extreme? Or am I overeacting and got what I deserved? This is what my so-called 'friends' are doing to me.

I have few friends which I hold in high regard but if they still wanna replace me, which hurts, I don't know if I want to see them anymore to be honest. I'm in my final year of university and I have been thinking of applying for jobs interstate, and after what just happened, I'm seriously now thinking of doing it. Is this a rash decision?
I dont know where they got 4 reserves from...the math just doesnt add up which makes me suspicious.
but i couldnt do anything for the first occassion, the 2nd time is my fault n i understand that i let them down but this has happened before with others and we never kicked anyone out.

well... i would kick you off too for not showing up.. you should have called.. your fault.. deal with the consequences.
