What are my career options to do with soccer coaching?
i have applied for a place in a fitness course which covers anatomy, circuit fitness and alot of other stuff, however sadly i have been put on a waiting list and may not get into the course =[
i want to do something in soccer/football in my future and as a dream job i would LOVE to become a soccer coach or scout.
What would my options be to becoming one?
by the way there are no other courses on offer that relate to the one i applied for or to do with soccer or coaching.
cool
Youth soccer coaching ideas?
I have a U15 Rec coach asking for my advice. I've coached U12 for 8 years, and we don't get quite as in-depth as the U15's. He's asking for a good manual or video that explains the soccer theory, what formations to use in different situations, and WHY those formations are good for that situation. Everything I have is geared to my younger kids. I've given him a copy of the manual I wrote, but as I've coached the kids he's now coaching, they already understand my tactics, and he wants to take them to the next level. Any suggestions?
Both good answers, but perhaps I should explain our situation better. We live in a really small town (about 7,000) and at the U15 level, there is only one co-ed team. We don't have a Rec department, we do have a Board of Directors, of which I am the Vice President. We have only about 250 kids in the entire youth program. We've only been in operation as an association for 4 years, I coached in a larger association prior to that. ALL of our coaches and board members are volunteer, the only ones who are paid are refs.
well you need to watch european and south american football(stop calling it soccer), you should watch it and see what they do, you can probably find some videos online, try to find common things they all do and think of why they could be doing that the way they doit
you can probably also get some experience playing those soccer managing games for computers :D
for a quick tip tell kids to controll the ball before passing/shooting and they should try to send the ball through the ground, if the ball is passed through the air the other team has a higher chance of intercepting it
How old must you be to get a soccer coaching license in Ireland?
I would like to do football coaching and i want to know what age you have to be to get that offical permet thing, also have you to have played for a team to get one oh and where could i get one in Connacht
The governing bodies for football in Ireland are..
FAI for Rep. O Ireland. IFA for Northern Ireland.
I am sure as young as 16 can get into the starter tiers of coaching. Mostly that covers first aid, organizing, and basic skills, safety.
Good luck!
I have some soccer or (football) questions I would like to know before starting my job coaching a team?
I just got a job of coaching soccer or (football) and have some questions to ask so I am clear on the rules before I start. Whats the differen betwwen a winger and a right of left midfielder or are they considered the same positions?
During a free kick at goal what is the distance that the wall has to stay from the kicker? Any other info would also help. Thanks.
RIght where do I start.
WIngers or far right midfielders or left ones tend to make serching runs down the wings or bilines of the pitch in the hope to cross the ball deep to a forward in the box of the goal area,, or drill the ball hard and low or pull the ball back hopefully pulling defenders out and into the box therefore leaving attacking players free to recieve the crossed ball in the attempt to score
ALWAYS CALL IT FOOTBALL
real fans never call it that S word
it's 10 yards for a free kick
contact me on my yahoo for any questions that you have
I played all my life and nearly made it pro when i was young
as a midfielf player
left of right midfield can over lap with the left and right backs creating deep runs into the oppostion corners, they also support each other, if the right back makes the run, the right midfield player can drop inside, or deeper into the middle of the pitch to recieve the ball
erm if you can watch any premiership action via YOUTUB, (ENGLISH LEAGUE) you will see a lot of searching balls being passed with the right weight
if your learning to be a coach, I would personall concertrate on passing, with the right weight ie that the pace of the ball isnt too fast tto control or too slow that the player being passed to has to come and collect it
dribbling techniques, nothing flashy but the basics of round cones
controlling a ball with the body
passing the ball short long and other passes, with the inside of the foot (best control) outside casing curl, or with the top of the foot which is power,
As well, balance is key so young players need to understand the center of gravity when passing a ball if they lean back the ball goes up if you lean forward the ball goes nowhere
there is no such thing as A PLAY
teach players to form triagles onthe pitch and pass between them, this is noticable if you watch any PREMIERSHIP football on YOUTUBE
and anything else contact me
