looking for the best top of the line slow pitch softball bats that is ASA approved
umm nike doesn't make bats but see i play fastpitch so let me give it a go! I suggest the Catalyst XL. I get a new one every year. Right now I have 3 it's a comp. bat around $2.80. Not bad for a good bat. Oh and it is approved by all major organizations such as ASA,NCA, & AAU
Where can I find some objective reviews of fastpitch softball bats?
I am looking for a very good fastpitch softball bat for my daughter who plays on a U14 club team.
I like going on www.softball.com. It is an online magazine but it gives very good descriptions of the bats. Not to mention...they sell nothing but quality merchandise. My daughter too plays softball...believe me we spend a lot of time checking bats and other equipment out.
Softball Bats, How do you pick the right one.?
I would like to buy a softball bat to play, but dont know how to choose them, the right size and/or weight.
Are you already playing on a team? If so, start off by using one of your teammates bats until you find something that you like. No point in spending a couple hundy on a bat if you don't know if you'll like it, or not. Some bats are "classified" as the same weight (ie: 28 oz) but the weight is proportioned differently on the bat. One bat may feel like the weight is on the end of the bat, where another may feel like the weight is closer to the handle. It's ll in what you prefer and what feels good for YOU.

white steel demarini's are pretty good, but not very durable. worth has a few bats that are good for the money, my experience with demarini's has been good outside of the lack of durability with the white steel.
Why aren't wooden baseball and softball bats the same?
Apparently you can't use a wooden baseball bat to play softball, since the softball rules for a bat are different. Why do softball and baseball have different bat shapes to begin with, and what does whatever minor shape difference they have matter with a wooden bat?
Softball barrels are bigger because the ball is bigger. This is the reason why you can't use a wooden bat.
