Softball Gloves?

Could someone tell me how to soften a new softball glove for my son. and how do i do it?

my coach has always told us to put a ball in the glove and tape it or to tape and put something heavy on it...it also helps to play catch with....or just bend it

What is a good brand of fast pitch softball gloves for high school girls fast pitch softball?

I play 2nd and shortstop..
what is a good brand of gloves and also cleats
is there anything else i need for softball?
sliding shorts?

mizuno, u need high socks and a slider (if you dont have the baseball pants) and yes sliding shorts, hurts really bad without em

What is the difference between slow- versus fast- pitch softball gloves?

I used to play softball - about 10 years ago. Always just used an old hand-me-down glove (which was fantastic but unfortunately is now ruined.) Now I want to play again and find I am very confused about the different selections of gloves. I will probably play softball (as there aren't too many women baseball leagues) but want to be able to comfortably throw around a baseball, too. I don't know what position I'll be playing as I've played every position before, most often third base and short stop. I have no idea if I'll be playing fast pitch or slow pitch - I really just want a basic, good, well rounded glove.

So what should I be looking for? What's the difference between fast and slow pitch gloves? Sizes? Leathers? Etc. My budget is not too much - no more than about $60 or, if I really really need to, I could push it to $75.

What is the difference between baseball, t ball, and softball gloves? Why use any one of them over the others?

A baseball 1st-baseman's mitt has a HUGE pocket. Won't any of the three sports' gloves work well for any of these sports' balls?

T-ball glove is just for small children. Softball gloves have a bigger pocket and could present problems if used for baseball. The ball could pop out, if you go to throw it might get stuck in the pocket, ect. A 1st baseman's mit it specifically designed to dig low throws out of the dirt. That said, there are differences in infield and outfield gloves as well.
