Does shaking your head reduce your intelligence?
I had some sort of OCD (I used to shake my head quickly) so does shaking your head reduce your intelligence? and what could possibly reduce your intelligence or the ability to remember what you studied?

If you shake a baby you can do irreversible brain damage, especially if you shake the poor thing violently as some parents have done in a fit of rage with very tragic consequences.
Shaking your own head (violently) can make you feel unwell but it is unlikely to do any brain damage as your brain is fully developed whereas the brain of a baby, child or adolescent is still developing. The brain of a baby or toddler is very fluid and can be irreversibly damaged very easily.
Does head size have anything to do with intelligence?
I'm just wondering if someone with a larger head might have more intelligence than someone with a smaller head.
Some sources say yes, some say no.
FACT 7: IQ is correlated with head size
The relationship between head size and IQ has long been a subject of controversy. Popular writers such as Stephen J. Gould have rightly objected to the crude and biased means 19th-century scholars used to establish this correlation, which were based on head size and contour. But modern neuroimaging techniques demonstrate that cranial volume is correlated with IQ. Evidence also comes from studies of the helmet sizes of members of the Armed Services, whose IQs were measured during basic training. The correlations, however, are quite small.
Head growth in fetal life and infancy is associated with later intelligence, new research hints. Moreover, catch-up increases do not appear to compensate for poor early growth.
Are big heads better? I'm Bob Hirshon and this is Science Update.
There are many ways to assess a person's intelligence. But Ed Klaber of Chelmsford, England, came up with one of his own. He wants to know if people with bigger heads have bigger brains.
We asked Grant Hurlburt, a visiting professor of biology at California State University in Bakersfield. He says measuring the size of the head does give some indication of how big the brain is.
Hurlburt:
Even though head size also depends on factors such as the muscularity of the head and thickness of the bone, it's very likely that a bigger head means a bigger brain.
But Hurlburt says people with bigger brains aren't necessarily smarter than those with smaller ones. Studies have shown a weak correlation between brain size and I.Q. But scientists aren't sure what causes it.
Hurlburt:
We're still trying to investigate, you know, what it is about the brain that correlates with I.Q. And what kind of information processing goes on. Brains are very complicated, and we're still working on them.
So, many other factors besides having a big head ultimately determine a person's braininess.

Is it possible for intelligence to increase after 2 head injuries?
I'm a college student and got two minor concussions this year (just a few months apart from each other). In the past, I wasn't a very good student and was on academic probation. The same week after my first concussion, I had to take a test and I got an A. Well, the same thing happened after the second concussion. Then my GPA improved significantly (1.95 to 3.67 in 1 year). Is this a coincidence or is it really possible for intelligence to change after a head injury?
Everything is possible.
Is there a connection between head size and intelligence?
I have seen some people with big heads and they are as dumb as a person can get; I have also seen people who have a small head but are too damn smart for their own good.
no, how smart you are really is determined by how many wrinkles you have on your brain. if you have a lot of wrinkles in certain channel of the brain say the frontal lobe, which means you have more brain cells in that region and you are pretty good at decision making, focusing, and judging. on the other hand, the brain cells of people with larger heads are not tightly packed together as much as people with smaller heads. so there's no relationship between head size and intelligence. genetic also affects intelligence, smart parents are more likely to have smart children.
