Head Tennis Rackets News

What Head Tennis Rackets Are Good?

I wanted to see which Head tennis rackets are good. I am a intermediate to advanced player, and I want a performance frame with around a 100 sq. inch head, 11-12 oz., and under $200.

Any suggestions?
Please, only midplus rackets, not oversize, thanks.
when u say, it lacks power, do u mean that the racket gives u no extra strength, and everything u hit is all you??

Whoa under $200? Then, I can name you the best ones for Head that I loved. I agree with the other guy though, Babolat provides a more advanced line but the Head racquets have better comfort and feel.

My favorite racquets:

Head Microgel Radical Pro- Very fast swings with this racquet, generate tons of topspin very easily. Lacks power as most advanced racquets do. My favorite.

Head Mircogel Radical Midplus- Perfect feel. Very manueverable swings with this racquet. Provides smooth mobility of your strokes.

Head Microgel Extreme Pro- Cheaper racquet, but still advanced. Provides most power but still very head light. Able to make agressive strokes for baseliners. Easy winners with this racquet.

* All these racquets are 100 inches and are around 11.5 to slightly over 12 ounces.

What head tennis racket is comprable to the micro gel extreme pro?

My birthday is coming up, I played with the extreme pro and LOVED it... I'd like to hint for something 1 or 2 years old to get in the <100 range

honestly...none...the microgel extreme pro is the latest addition...even the flexpoint doesnt feel that solid in comparison...i used the flexpoint then used the microgel extreme pro...the microgel is way better compared to the flexpoint..

i dont think you can get a substitute for it at under 100...unless u go for the Dunlop aerogel...same technology...bit stiffer though...

cheers

which country makes the head tennis rackets?

Head was founded in Baltimore, Maryland but now operates out of Amsterdam, Netherlands.

My god likes Head tennis rackets. What equipment is your god packing?

A mighty hammer.

:P

how fast does the head of a tennis racket travel during a serve?

If Andy Roddick can hit serves at 150mph+, how fast does the head of the racket have to be travelling to give the ball that much velocity. Given that the ball has no horizontal momentum at the instant it is hit by the racket, at what speed must the racket head be travelling to send the ball away at over 150mph?

It would have to travel at least half as fast as the velocity of the ball. I would estimate it is traveling faster though; probably in the neighborhood of 90 mph.
