Volleyball Shoes?
I need to purchase new volleyball shoes today. I don't know what the best volleyball shoes are, so can someone please help me. I need good quality shoes that have ankle support, or that I can fit an ankle brace into.
Also, I need to get new knee pads. I have the Nike bubble knee pads currently, but I can't stand them. What knee pads provide the most shock absorbtion?
adidas volleyball shoes have always been my favorite.... they are comfortable n have air circulation through the shoe! i was a setter i've never worn knee pads too often (only in practice.)

Good question! unfortunatley, i am roped in the buying these shoes as well-marketed for "volleyball" use. In reality, i dont thinkthey are all the different. A little gel thing in the toe, a little different sole, but other thant hat, not too much.
Where can I find volleyball shoes for my daughter?
I purchased some so-called youth volleyball shoes (Mizuno Wave Spike Jr.) for my daughter, who is a Size 4, but they were extremely small (2 inches or more too small). I am afraid that the largest youth Size 5.5 will be too small also. We also tried the smallest women's shoes in a Size 6, but they were too big. Where can I find volleyball shoes for my 9 year old daughter?
As a couple people have sugested eastbay.com, volleyhut.com and spikenashbar.com are probably the best sources on line. You can also try looking at a sporting goods store like Dicks or Sports Authority so she can actually try on the shoes.
All you really need to get are court shoues so don't give up if they don't have any shoes specifically for volleyball...I've been using court shoes from Sports Authority for a couple years now (nike and asics).

Do you need volleyball shoes to be on a high school team or will running sneakers work fine?
I dont wanna have to go out and buy the special volleyball shoes before i know if im even on the team, so will running sneakers work fine for volleyball camp and tryouts?
Running sneakers WILL NOT give you enough side to side support. So the sides of your feet may been in a lot of pain.. But it will stilll support your arches... A court shoe would be better, they are cheaper than volleyball shoes... Like what tennis playes would wear.
What's the fastest way to break in new volleyball shoes?
I got my first pair of volleyball shoes the other day, and they still feel a little stiff. I play 8th grade volleyball, and it's more intense than you would think, so I can't afford to injure myself or screw up in games/practices because of shoes that haven't been broken in yet.
Note: I know for a fact that the shoes aren't too small, so there's no need to comment on that.

Do not wear your new volleyball shoes outside like others are suggesting! The only way you can really break into them is by wearing them during practices. It may be hard, but you sure don't want to ruin your shoes.
